3D Animatic

Up to Glossary

The purpose of an ANIMATIC (for those of you who don't already know) is to give the filmmakers an idea of what the EDITING, CAMERA ANGLES, STAGING and OVERALL PLACING of the film will feel like. The 3D Animatic (more appropriately referred to by british as a 'block test') answers questions like: "What scenes are working, which aren't?" "Is this angle too extreme?" etc... The animation is intentionally, ELEMENTARY and BLAND. The first animatic is in fact the first version of the movie. Not so funny, not cute at all. But really usefull to analyse where are the big problems. What works what deos not.
